Disability Advisory Group needs more committee members we need some community members to advice on issues affecting people living with mental illness, the position requires committee members to interact with their local councils and Government and to provide polite but firm advise to councils, our online group wants to supplement traditional Council Disability Advisory Groups. We want to give our advise directly to Councils and Government as well as to the council disability advisory groups.
We want to allow the public to take part, I have great concerns about the current council model of having closed disability advisory groups, this allows councils the chance to manipulate people into accepting minimal outcome which may endanger the disabled community while saving council and Government a few dollars
People living with mental health advocate wanted, please contact me to join our online Disability Advisory Group.
